Membership Programs
Membership Types at Unify Co-Op
At Unify Co-Op, we offer different levels of membership to suit various levels of commitment and involvement. This makes us a multi-level cooperative. Whether you’re ready to take an active role in shaping the cooperative or simply want to support our mission, we have a membership option for you.
Regular Cooperative Membership
Regular Cooperative Members are the backbone of Unify Co-Op, contributing to both the financial stability and decision-making processes of the cooperative. This membership level involves investment through annual or monthly donations, which grants members the full benefits of co-ownership, including voting rights and the ability to help shape the future of the cooperative. As a Regular Member, you are entrusted with the responsibility of participating in governance, attending meetings, and playing an active role in ensuring the success of Unify Co-Op’s mission.
Benefits of Regular Cooperative Membership:
Full voting rights and participation in decision-making
Eligibility to serve on the Board of Trustees or other committees
Active involvement in cooperative governance
Invitations to member-exclusive events and programs
Access to all cooperative resources and programs
A legal deed in title to the cooperative assets.
Community Membership
Community Members are supporters who share our vision and want to be involved without the commitment of full cooperative responsibilities. While Community Membership does not include voting rights or governance responsibilities, it provides access to Unify Co-Op’s events, programs, and activities. This level is ideal for corporations and institutions that want to participate and engage with the cooperative without the obligations of regular membership.
Benefits of Community Membership:
Invitations to public events and activities
Access to select programs and workshops
Support for Unify Co-Op’s mission without governance responsibilities
Associate Membership
Associate Members are individuals who support our work but prefer a more limited role. Associate Membership does not include voting rights, governance responsibilities, or the same level of involvement as Regular or Community Members. However, it allows individuals to show their support and engage with Unify Co-Op on a minimal level, often through specific programs or initiatives.
Benefits of Associate Membership:
Recognition as a supporter of Unify Co-Op
Access to select member programs or initiatives
No responsibilities in governance or cooperative decisions
Each membership type plays an important role in the success of Unify Co-Op. Whether you're ready to take on the responsibilities of Regular Membership or prefer the flexibility of Community or Associate Membership, your support helps drive our mission forward, making a positive impact on our community and the environment.
